French Antique Table
Furniture faux Painting. How do you get this effect?
I have an antique desk very similiar to the one here at walmart and I am wanting to refinish it to look like this. Is this a streak finish or something else?

This is a multi step process with gold leaf trim. Which at walmart is gold paint. You would do best to find some books or videos on how to do this antique finishing. Basically, it involves layers of paint and glazing with tools, rags, brushes to get the look. The colors are important to get the look. Van Dykes Restorers may be a good start.
